Is this ccp propaganda?

It's called history

Yes maybe, except how they portrayed the Chinese National soldiers as evil kidnappers who were horrible, but pla were portrayed as heroes who weren’t forcing people to join. It’s recorded in history, both sides raided villages, murdered innocents and forced men to fight. That’s why it looks like ccp propaganda. Cuz Taiwan is were the national party vacated to. And Taiwan is a free country compared to the stupid Xi and his zero covid policy

History is written by the winners. To get to a somewhat accurate version of history one has to dig through the "We were the good guys and we vanquished the bad guys" version that is spoon fed to the masses. This applies to every official account of history, even those from supposedly "free" countries. What I find interesting about this particular story is it's based on the actual life of a Japanese who wound up stuck in China (something I was previously totally unaware of). Of course the show is Chinese so they're going to portray their side in the best light possible.

Really? So then how do we still know of the atrocities from the losers side? Also, that saying is overrated, Americans won their wars and they are still labeled as racist slavers who murdered millions of natives
